Our team is uniquely qualified to operate and grow a company focused on providing sustainable technologies and energy services to rural markets in India and other developing countries. Our leadership has the skills demanded of their positions, significant experience working as a team together, and the blend of passion and commitment required for this business.
Collectively, our management has over 44 years of grassroots experience in the field of providing sustainable energy services to the under-served. The team along with other staff has proven the fact that there are strong linkages between poverty alleviation, sustainable energy, social business and micro-finance: linkages that are not easily proven to be commercially viable.

Dr. H Harish Hande, Managing Director,
SELCO-India, which he co-founded with Neville Williams in 1995. Dr. Hande earned his Doctorate in energy engineering (solar specialty) at the University of Massachusetts (Lowell). He has an undergraduate degree in Energy Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. Dr. Hande serves on the boards of many organizations, both national and international.

Thomas Pullenkav, Vice President, has a graduate degree in Physics and is an alumnus of Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand. After graduating from IRMA, he worked in the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for 3 years in their Management Pool Division. Before joining SELCO in 1996, Thomas worked for a year in the marketing department of TATA BP Solar. In SELCO, Thomas heads the projects department and brings to the table many years of experience in implementing projects in the rural areas.

Mrs. Revathi, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer , is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with an excellent academic record. She secured all India 8th Rank in ICWAI - Final Examinations and all India 2nd Rank in ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) -Intermediate Examinations. Prior to joining SELCO in 2004, Mrs. Revathi has had more that 6 years of accounts and finance related experience in various multinational companies. In SELCO she is responsible for all accounts and finance related matters of the company.

Ashis Kumar Sahu, Chief Operating Officer, is a mechanical engineer and an alumnus of Institute of Rural Management (IRMA), Anand. He brings to SELCO extensive experience in livelihood management, micro enterprises and microfinance having worked in Urmul Trust, Oxfam, RCDC and Basix. Ashis oversees operations of SELCO’s 23 energy service centers across Karnataka and Gujarat.

Anand Narayan Manager, Incubation Lab, has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He formerly served as Vice president of Engineering at TensorComm, a Colorado start-up that specialized in capacity enhacing technologies for wireless communication systems. At TensorComm, he oversaw systems engineering, standardization, and Intellectual property, and is a co-inventor on about 20 patent applications in the area of signal processing.
